We are ready for the slopes and the slopes are ready for us! The first day started out slightly overcast and snowing, but by the time we were up to the main part of the mountain, and everyone had his/her gear situated, the sun had burned through the clouds, and the mountains that surrounded us made themselves visible! What a glorious morning to be on the mountain! The snow was soft and a few inches deap from the overnight snowfall.
I couldn't help but be excited to be back on skis.
The afternoon presented a bit of a challenge with the thick fog, so Jenna and I were proud of ourselves for making it down in one piece.
Success! Time to dance.
The gondola ride down the mountain at the end of the day.
Roommate shot! Proud of Natalie for completing her first day skiing!
Is it bedtime yet? A pre-dinner rest.
The weather on day two could not have been more perfect! Blue skies with no clouds to be seen results in happy skiiers. It was also fun to ski some freshly groomed trails.
This view was incredible! From the peak of Salzburg - 3029 meters - all we could see in every direction was mountains. These mountains have such sharp peaks.
It was freezing up there, but so worth the view!
We love skiing!
Dusk comes early when the sun sets behind the mountain. We could not have asked for a better weekend of skiing, lodge time, and perfect views.
