Cross-Cultural Psychology
Today was a typical Tuesday (although it ended with bread pudding!!), so I thought I would share a little bit about my experience in my cross-cultural psychology class. It has been very interesting (and sometimes entertaining) analyzing the Austrian cultures, and how they compare to American cultures, but most curious to me has been the disagreement among my classmates on what American cultures are. It is becoming increasingly more apparent that there is no one American culture, there is so much variance regionally, by state, by county, school district, and even class/teacher, for that matter. Every student in my class has a different picture painted of what American culture is. I find that rather mind-boggling.

"The melting pot" is not a good metaphore for America! I'm glad you are enjoying your class. Are you practicing your German with the kids?
