Sometimes I'll start a blog and not know where I'm going, I just hope I find it along the way. (A variation on a Michael Scott-ism.) This is one of those blogs. Not a lot to share today, other than that it was another busy Monday, but a good start to the week. Things are starting to get lined up and organized for midterms, which seems absolutely insane! It was a fun morning out at Bischof-Faber-Platz 1. Today we read The Three Billy Goats Gruff! It was fun to hear the students try to say "th" and some of the have trouble making an "rr" sound, without rolling. It always fascinates me that every baby is born with the same innate language abilities, but then loses the ability to make certain sounds as he/she absorbs the sounds of his/her surroundings. Language is a crazy thing!
