Friday Night's Alright for Chocolate

Another week on the books; time seems to be flying! I can't believe I've been in Austria for 80 days, but at the same time it seems perfectly natural to be living here. Hmm... An allusion of time.

This morning I woke up at about five o'clock (I've been napping a lot recently which has been upsetting my sleep cycle) and I could not fall back asleep! I decided to get up anyway - I was way to hungry to think about anything else! I had some yoghurt and honey while Jenna and Pauline were getting ready to go to the alps for the day (sometimes we're just sick of school and need the mountain air!). After a while I made rosin grøt with leftover rice, and a baked apple, then enjoyed a quiet morning before getting ready for German. I definitely prefer that method of getting ready for the day!

This afternoon my friend and I walked around for a while then found a little Mexican restaurant. The food was almost authentic, and the people who owned the place/worked there spoke Spanish. I finally got my enchiladas that I have been craving for weeks and weeks! After lunch, since it was a beautiful and sunny day, we strolled a bit and soaked up the rays. Today was the first day of the month long a capella celebration in Vienna, so there was an event called Balcanto, in which different singing groups performed on balconies throughout the first district. We watched one trip for a little bit before going on our way.

I spent the evening primarily alone, as most of the apartment were out and about. But sometimes that's just what the doctor ordered on a Friday night, well, TV and chocolate too, of course. Now my pals are all home and we're relaxing and reflecting on our days together. I still need to register for classes in about an hour, so hopefully I'll sleep we'll after staying up late!

Have a good weekend, everyone!
