In a Frame

I let myself sleep in today, which didn't seem to help get me through those afternoon classes, but it sure felt great! I then made a baked egg in avocado, which I have been meaning to try since summer. It was photogenic and delicious!

This afternoon we had another excursion to the Kuntshistorisches museum with art history. Today we talked about and looked at what is perhaps my least favorite topic so far: the Baroque. However, I always enjoying learning about art, since I have so little knowledge in the area. We talked about the differences in the Baroque style painting that mostly stemmed from the reformation. Protestant regions and catholic regions produced vastly different art. I far prefer the art of the protestant artists, as it focuses more on landscape and realism.

    1. I didn't really use a recipe. I saw it on a blog over the summer, I believe. I just scooped a little of the avocado out so the egg would fit, then baked it at 425* F until the whites were cooked. Salt and pepper, of course. Pretty simple!
